Our first full day in Hawaii began at 4:00am, when Lauren decided to wake up and start the day. We all went to bed super early, so it wasn't too bad. We were up and out of the room by 8:15am!! We stayed at the resort the whole day.
They had several activities going on for Halloween. The kids were anxious to go swimming, so we started with that. We swam for several hours. It was so fun!! We all had a blast. After we ate lunch, Mike and I sat and had a drink while the kids went down the water slide over and over. The table we sat at was right at the bottom of the slide, so we saw the kids each time they came down. Next we headed over to swim with the fish. This was a neat experience I was glad the kids got to do. It took them a while to get used to it, but with some help they were exploring under the "sea."
After spending 5 hours at the pool, we headed back to our room to relax and get ready for trick-or-treating. The kids all dressed up - Lauren as Pebbles, Ashlyn as Mulan and Jacob as Green Lantern. We ate dinner at one of the restaurants here, then headed to the kids place for a "backyard dance party." They played lots of music, the kids all danced around and had a good time.
Lauren was pretty tired, so Mike took her back to the room for a bath and bed. The kids and I headed over to a hula dancing show. They also had some arts and crafts. Ashlyn made some flowers for her hair, and they both made some flowers in a gourd. The hula show was really cool to watch. They'll do it again on Thursday night, so we'll try to go back so Mike can see it too.
That wraps up our first full day. Today, we may head out to Waikiki for a little shopping this morning, then the beach and swimming this afternoon.

The kids going down the slide.
Since Lauren woke up so early, she took an early nap in the lazy river. It was nice and relaxing cuddling with her. |
My pretty little baby girl!! |
I know we look silly, but this was so cool!

Mikey and the fish..."Hi, Daddy."
Lauren was a little scared of Mickey, so I had to be in the picture. :-) |
Happy Halloween!!
Trick-or-Treat!!
Lauren was so possessive over her bag...she would not let anyone help her carry it.
She would say, "mine" and hide it under her arm. :-)
Lauren really got into trick-or-treating.
My 3 little cuties!!
