Welcome to our Adventures...: October 2011

Aloha, family and friends, we are currently in Oahu!! We are all so excited, since it's our first visit to Hawaii. We are staying at the new Disney Aulani!! It is absolutely amazing here. We definitely want to come back already.

This resort has so much to offer. We are going to check it out tomorrow, after a good night sleep. The 3 hour time difference wore us all out. The kids are excited to check the pool out. They have a great lazy river, kids play area, water slides, and the best part...a salt water pool that we can swim/snorkel with live fish!! There is so many activities that are happening each day, we are sure to stay busy. Today we took the kids over to learn about surfing with Chip and Dale. They each had their own little carpet surfboard, and they learned some surfing terms and some moves. It was pretty cute. They seemed to have a good time doing that. I'll have to see if I can get the video posted that I took. Tomorrow there are lots of activities for Halloween. The kids have their costumes, so they'll get to trick-or-treat around the resort. I think there's a dance party, arts and crafts and a costume parade, too.

Not sure what we'll do the rest of the week. We really didn't make any big plans, we just wanted to play things by ear to see what we felt like doing each day. We are hoping to just soak everything in and RELAX (but not sure if I can do that). LOL Two things we actually have planed - getting our family pictures taken and going to a character breakfast.
